So what is it that textads.biz does exactly ?
textads.biz provides a mechanism for you to make money by serving unobtrusive textads on your site, we provide all the infrastructure necessary in order to collect payments and allow those people who have bought ads to view detailed campaign statistics.

What's wrong with banner ads ?
The biggest problem with banner ads is that people ignore them, being such an obvious intrusion by a third party users automatically scan past them to the content, textads merge seamlessly into your site design and are therefore more readily absorbed and accepted by your users.

Where do the ads that run on my site come from ?
The ads served on your site come from one of two sources. The first and arguably the most important come from your own users. By following a link to textads.biz your users can get an ad running on your site in minutes, when the purchase is completed they are returned to a landing page of your choosing. The second mechanism for getting advertisers is via ads placed across the network from right here at textads.biz.

What are CPC/CPM/TMR ads ?
CPC Ads are ads that run until they have been clicked X number of times, CPM Ads run for a set number of impressions before expiring and TMR run for a set number of weeks before expiring
CPC stands for Cost Per Click, CPM stands for Cost Per Thousand (M being the roman numeral for thousand), and TMR stands for Timed

What does it cost me ?
To signup and offer ads on your site doesn't cost anything, we just take a cut from each ad you sell. We take 20% and PayPal takes approximately 2.9%.

How can I prevent objectionable ads being placed on my site ?
If you choose you can approve each and every ad that is to be ran on your site before it goes live. This goes for both ads that are to run solely on your site and also for those ads that are running across the network. We also allow you to rank your site G, PG, PG13 and NC17 that will be an indication to advertisers as to the type of ads you are willing to run.

What is the process when an ad is placed ?
A user follows an 'advertise here' link on your site (provided by us upon signup) that takes them to textads.biz, here they can create an ad, get it looking just so and proceed to purchase it.
When they click purchase they're taken to PayPal where the ad is paid for, once this is done they are forwarded to a location of your choosing.
When the payment is verified textads.biz notifies you via email that an ad has been placed and is awaiting approval in your pending queue.
You will then log in to textads where you can see the ads that are awaiting approval, if they look ok you can approve them which places them into immediate rotation, or alternatively you can reject them.
If you choose to reject an ad for any reason we will refund the full amount to the user who placed it.

Do I have to approve every ad ?
Not at all, there is an option to automatically approve any ads that are placed on your site. Useful if you go away on vacation and don't want people to have to wait for you or if you are comfortable with anything advertisers wish to say.

How much do ads cost people ?
The rate is set by you when you sign up so you can charge as much or as little as the market will bear.
Ads that are placed across the network are charged at a variable rate set by us.

Is there a minimum amount of ads my users must buy ?
Only the minimum that you set, you specify the minimum purchase price when you sign up.

How much do I get paid for Network Ads ?
The amount you receive depends on the percentage of the campaign your site serves. Using a CPM ad as an example from a $10 minimum purchase, $8 is split amongst all the sites that the ad is running on in proportion to the number of impressions they serve. i.e If two sites are running the ad and one site serves 75% of the impressions and the other site serves 25% the first site will receive $6.00 with the second receiving $2.00

When do I get paid ?
Your balance will be sent to you via PayPal on the first buisness day of the month. Network ads are paid out the month after they expire (so we can determine how to split the pot)

Can I offer my advertisers discounts for large campaigns ?
Yes, there is a full featured discount engine available that lets you specify thresholds and ad rates for each type of ad (CPC, CPM, Timed)

What do I need to insert into my site to run ads ?
When you signup you will be given a small piece of code that you will insert in your sites HTML

How can I make the ads look the way I want them to ?
The ad code that is served looks like this (although you can change this by way of a template)

The ad design and checkout pages are fully template driven so you can brand these pages to seamlessly integrate with your existing site

Will I be charged for ads I place on my own site ?
No, you can place as many filler ads as you like for free

How will my advertisers know how their ads are doing ?
They will be sent a link that will tell them how to create an account at textads.biz where they can logon and see exactly how their ads are performing

How do I see how ads are performing ?
Hosts can see exactly how their ads are doing by logging on and checking the active ads section

What is the process for placing an ad ?
After clicking an 'advertise here' link from either the hosts site or textads.biz you'll be taken to an ad design page, here you'll be able to create your ad. When you are happy with how the ad looks you will click the purchase button, after reviewing your purchase you'll be taken to PayPal where the ad is paid for, once this is done you'll be returned back to the hosts site.
Once payment is verified by PayPal we will send you an email confirming payment and informing you the ad is pending approval. Once the host approves the ad you'll receive a second email informing you that the ad is now active

Can I target ads towards specific keywords ?
This depends on the site. A site can offer two forms of keyword ads, freeform and categorized. For categorized sites when you place the ad you will see a list of words you can choose to associated the ad with. Freeform allows you to specify the keyword.

How can I see how ads are performing ?
Advertisers can see exactly how their ads are doing by logging on and checking the campaigns section

How do I extend the run of a successful ad ?
You can do this in two ways, first we provide a link in your confirmation email that allows you to extend the ad and you can also do this via the campaigns section by clicking on the green extend ad box beside your ads stats.

Can I make edits to ads that are running ?
Yes you can make edits at any time. Unless the host has chosen to auto approve ads edits are first reviewed by the host before becoming effective. You will be notified by email when your edits have been accepted.

How do you prevent click fraud ?
We audit the clicks for validity using a variety of techniques that are continually evolving. Any hosts found to be commiting fraud will be immediately suspended.

What happens if my ad is rejected ?
We will refund your payment in full via PayPal
